Yeo Valley

Yeo Valley have been producing yoghurt for over thirty years. In 1993 the Yeo Valley Organic Ltd company was founded and quickly became one of the leading brand names in organic dairy products.

In 2001, after a rapid growth and a redesign of their product packaging, Tag4´s web design team were commissioned in conjunction with London based communications company, Firehouse to conceive, design and build their new marketing website in order to capitalise on an ever expanding market and help the Yeo Valley brand achieve optimum brand awareness.

Our brief specified that as well as displaying their range of products, the website needed to be attractive, interactive and provide a source of information for children. As dairy farming is not an obvious arena of children´s entertainment we knew we had to transform the experience into something fun.

The look of the site needed a cartoon like quality. Bold primary colours and loveable characters were used throughout. Flash animations featured heavily in the website, particularly the ´Yeo Kids´ section which included two extended animations explaining the yoghurt and ice-cream making process. The site also featured an interactive farm section in which children could learn about the various aspects of organic farming.

Since it´s launch, the website has been used in schools as an educational tool and the games, cartoons and competitions have been a big hit with children all over the world.

As a result of Tag4´s work, the Yeo Valley site was awarded the IVCA award for Best Business to Consumer Website and the coveted IVCA Best Website award 2001.
